Another storm has swept through the Wallowa Mountains leaving only a few inches of new snow on the Lower Alder Slope outside of Enterprise.
While it is true that at times we get lots of snow throughout the winter season it is also true that Ruby Peak, a mountain located in the Wallowas, or aka the Eagle Cap Wilderness, protects land and people from some of the massive storms that stretch throughout the region. Ruby is our prominent summit due south of Enterprise and reaches 8874 ft / 2705 m at her peak.
