ENTERPRISE, Ore – Two pedestrians were hit by a passenger vehicle Friday night, Feb. 15., crossing Hwy. 82 near Safeway. According to Enterprise Chief of Police, Joel Fish, the incident took place around 5:30 p.m.
Charles Cannon, 54 of Flora, was west bound when he collided with two people in a crosswalk.
The accident occurred during a snowstorm. Enterprise Police and Fire, Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office, medics from Wallowa Memorial Hospital and Oregon State Police responded.
Fish said both victims were transported to Wallowa Memorial hospital. One died of sustained injuries.
Kathleen Kim, 80 of Enterprise, succumbed to her injuries and Molly Wells, 40 of Lostine, was treated at Wallowa Memorial and released.
