After talking to my daughter Tina about her tremen

After talking to my daughter Tina about her tremendous talents as a photographer today, I remembered that 20 years ago I started my adventure as a professional photographer in 2000. In 2001, I covered my first rodeo as a freelancer in Milton-Freewater, at the "Rodeo Blowout".
I still shot mainly with a 35mm film camera as the digital technology was still in its infancy, but I had also purchased my first digital camera.
The picture below was taken with the digital camera. It was a SONY MavicaFD - FD stands for FLOPPY DRIVE!!! 😁😁😁
Imagine the limited speed of recording an image to the floppy disk and re-imagine the shutter lack that we dealt with. It was all about timing and feeling the scene. I had one chance only to get what I saw coming and it worked.
Today I shoot with full-frame Canon cameras and L-Lenses at 10/sec. Hence, one may think well now she has it easy.
The truth is some things never change regardless if one shoots with a budget or professional camera: If you don't FEEL the moment with your heart and soul it doesn't matter how expensive or how fast your camera is. You have got to have your heart and soul in it almost getting goosebumps from your own excitement. THAT'S when the good becomes great! #wildhorsesthunder wildhorsesthunder.studio
